Car spotting is the hobby of finding and photographing interesting cars in public—anything from a well-kept daily driver to a rare hypercar. Garagey turns it into a collecting game: every car you snap is identified, graded for rarity, and added to your garage.
Can Garagey identify a car from a photo?
Yes. Snap a clear photo of a car and Garagey names the make, model, and year in seconds, along with genuine facts about it. Results are AI-assisted estimates and are most accurate with a sharp, well-lit photo showing the whole vehicle from the front three-quarter or side view.
How does rarity work?
Every car you catch gets two rarity grades: how rare it is worldwide, and how rare it is where you are. Grades run Common, Rare, Super Rare, Ultra Rare, and Secret Rare. Local rarity is what makes a spot impressive—a Civic in Monaco and a Ferrari in Maranello grade very differently.
Can I add cars I did not actually see?
Yes. You can upload photos from your gallery—Garagey will identify the car the same way as a live snap.
Can I customize the cars I catch?
Yes. Any car in your garage can be repainted with AI—pick a colour, then a gloss, matte, or chrome finish, and change the wheel colour and finish. Your original photo is always kept alongside the restyled version.
